THE winners have been announced in a painting group’s annual awards.

The Silver Cup Award evening is the main event in Rowlands Castle Painting Society’s calendar.

It is an opportunity for members to show their work using a variety of mediums.

Lorraine Boyes won the Novice Cup with Joyce Swettenham in second place.

The Cotterill Cup (oils) was won by Martin Gebbett with Gill Dollery runner-up.

Belinda Goad took the Watercolour Cup with Mrs Dollery second again.

In the Field Cup (outings) Gillian Merrett triumphed.

Debbie Bone just pipped John Shervell to the Portrait Cup.

The Pastel Cup was taken by Elizabeth Hickman-Taylor, with Hilary Headon runner-up.

In Mixed Media Gary Miller was first and Jean Bradley second.

The Force Cup (miniatures) was won by Barbara Wood with Ann Webber runner up.

Terry Devaney won the Flower Cup and Gary Miller came second.

He was second again in the Wildlife Cup which was won by Julie Anderson.

In the Creative Trophy Mrs Wood was successful again with Barry Coppin and John Shervell joint runners-up.

Mrs Bone also took the Edith Norris Cup (domestic animal) with Jim Ward second.

The Geoffrey Hayman Cup (seascape) was won by Mrs Devaney with Mrs Webber runner up.

And Mrs Bone’s third trophy was the Life Study with Mrs Devaney in second place.
