Police and ambulance were called but no-one has been arrested after the truck driver sped-off after the crash.

Traffic was moving slowly during rush hour at the time but the woman’s friend, who does not want to be named, has still been left angry at events.

‘She was trying to change lane and the truck driver was slowing down to let her in before suddenly speeding up,’ the man said.

‘She had to slam on the brakes and went back into the lane she was trying to move away from when I clipped her back wheel and she fell off.

‘The truck driver then drove off. He was a white male with a beard aged in his mid to late 40s.’

The motorcyclist added: ‘My friend suffered some bruises and was shaken-up but apart from that we were unscathed. The paramedics said she was ok to go home.

‘It was totally unprovoked. He sped up and ran her off the road so she had to come back into my lane.

‘I don’t think the police were able to look for him because he was in an unmarked truck.’

Police have confirmed they are not issuing an appeal to find the truck driver at this stage.

A police spokeswoman said: ‘We were called to reports of a collision between two motorcycles on Gosport Road, Fareham.

‘It looks like one rider tried to move lane but a truck in that lane had not slowed down and so the rider moved back into the lane they had been in.

‘There is no appeal at this time.’
