A FOOTBALL tournament will return for a second year this weekend.

Jubilee 77 Youth Football Club will hold the first tournament of the season at Fareham College tomorrow.

Nearly 60 teams will play across three different sizes of pitch, with players coming from all over the south.

More than 1,000 people are expected at the college to watch the tournament.

Many organisations have helped the football club host the tournament, including Fareham Self-Drive which has let the club borrow a van, 10th Fareham Scouts which provided cooking equipment, Portchester FC, which lent the club additional goals and Fareham Borough Council, which provided marquees.

Chairman Dean Scopes said: ‘We’re hoping for good weather but whatever we get the football will be fantastic and everyone will have a great day out.’

There will be hot food and drinks, cold snacks and sweets, and an assortment of art, craft and gift stalls.
