PEOPLE are being invited to pick up toys, household items and gifts at a community swap day.

Gosport Borough Council’s recycling team is holding the event on Saturday, January 21 from 10am to 1pm.

People can take along items in working order that they no longer want and take anything they can make use of.

Accepted items include toys, nursery goods, household items, kitchen items, unwanted gifts, small electrical items in working order, plants, books and DVDs.

Any items left at the end of the day will be given to the Jacobs Well Care Centre.

Broken items and large items will not be accepted but there will be a notice-board to advertise large items on the day.

Representatives from the British Heart Foundation will also be there accepting donations of clothing, household textiles, mobile phones, printer cartridges and shoes.
