A PLEA has been made by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service for children and teenagers to be aware of the dangers of mud and water.

Since Drowning Prevention Week last week, the service has responded to three separate mud incidents in the county, including one in Farlington.

A teenager was rescued from mud on June 30.

Station manager in community safety, Rob Dellow, said: ‘These incidents act as a reminder of the dangers of mud and water. These incidents could easily have had devastating consequences.’
