THE MP for Gosport has pledged her support to Save the Children by becoming a Parliamentary Champion.

Caroline Dinenage joins a group of cross-party MPs who support the charity’s work tackling the poverty, ill health and hunger that affect millions of children worldwide.

Ms Dinenage has signed up to support the charity’s ‘No Child Born to Die’ campaign, which aims to put an end to the waste of eight million children’s lives taken each year by treatable and preventable diseases.

She said: ‘I’m delighted to show my support for Save the Children.

‘Their ‘No Child Born to Die’ campaign is something as a mother I feel very passionate about and committed to.

‘I look forward to helping put hunger at the top of the international agenda and tackle the hidden crisis of malnutrition.’

Every hour of every day, 300 children die because of malnutrition.
