PLANS to build a four-storey block of flats have been submitted to Gosport council.

Developer Berkeley Homes wants to build 55 new flats at Royal Clarence Yard.

As reported in The News, originally it wanted to build 78 homes with the size of the building reaching seven storeys. But after complaints by residents, Berkeley Homes reduced the size. The plans also include 16 parking spaces including two disabled spaces, two motorbike spaces and an electric car charging point.

In the application, Berkeley said: ‘To directly respond to residents’ concerns, we are preparing a revised scheme for Block NM7 to provide 55 apartments.’
