Award for council after changing its public services
A COUNCIL has picked up an award for innovation.
Fareham Borough Council was handed a bronze award for Remodelling Local Services at the Improvement and Efficiency Awards. It launched a scheme called Vanguard to save cash.
The council has aimed to improve customer experience while saving £500,000 each year by changing the way people access services.
Leader Sean Woodward said: ‘Winning this award celebrates the hard work and effort put in to help provide excellent services.’
