CHANGES have been announced to bin collections over the Christmas and New Year period.

In Havant, collections scheduled for December 26, 27, 28 and 29 will all be held a day later.

Collections on December 30 will be held on January 2.

All collections scheduled for January 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be held a day later than usual.

Havant Borough council has advised all households to place their bins out by 7am on their day of collection.

The garden waste service is suspended between December 28 and January 6.

In East Hampshire residents’ bin collections will also be temporarily altered.

During the week between Christmas and New Year collections will be taken one day later than normal.

Collections due on December 26 will be carried out on December 27 and so on until the end of the week.

Friday’s collections will take place on Saturday, December 31.

From January 2 collections will return to normal.

Residents who participate in the garden waste scheme can put out their Christmas tree with their green sack and it will be collected.
