Campaigners fighting to save Sure Start centres take to Twitter
Their aim is to raise awareness of the proposed cuts to the centres in Hampshire and across the UK.

Hide AdCatherine Ovenden, founder of SOCC Hampshire, said: ‘We always believed wholeheartedly in a Sure Start Centre in each community, with universal access for all families.
‘Any family can be in need. We believe that these cutbacks will overstretch the system further; creating bigger, more costly problems in the future.’
As previously reported in The News a consultation is taking place as Hampshire County Council looks to close 54 centres across the area and replace them with 11 district hubs.A peaceful protest is planned for May 13 outside Hampshire County Council, when Catherine will make a deputation to the council.
