Captain of Portsmouth ship parallel parks 60m vessel '“ to prove women can park

IF ANYONE ever tells you that women can't park, simply point them in the direction of Claire Thompson.

The Commanding Officer of the 60m minesweeper HMS Ledbury, has been spotted expertly berthing the Portsmouth-based vessel in between a destroyer and a container ship '“ dispelling any misconceptions about female drivers.

It has since gone viral, being retweeted almost 10,000 times, with more than 43,000 likes.

This footage above was posted on Twitter by her husband, Captain Richard Harris, who posted the video after receiving distasteful comments about women drivers.

Captain Harris had previously tweeted about his wife being in charge of the ship.

He tweeted: '˜A while ago, in a response to a tweet about my wife driving her warship, somebody made a comment about women drivers.

'˜This is my wife berthing her ship between a container ship and a destroyer.

'˜No tankers, no fuss, not easy.'
