A PUBLIC meeting has been organised for residents to debate concerns about housebuilding plans for a village.

It was standing room only at Jubilee Hall in Horndean earlier this month when plans were discussed about building 85 homes on fields off Lovedean Lane, Lovedean, opposite the entrance to James Copse Road

Now neighbours want to meet to discuss the formation of a local residents’ association in order to have a stronger say on the plans.

As previously reported, there are concerns that local roads will be swamped by the development as the number of homes in the area increases.

Other nearby developments include the Waterlooville Major Development Area, Gales Brewery and Woodcroft Farm, between Wecock and Lovedean.

The meeting will take place at Lovedean Village Hall on Tuesday, April 10.

The meeting takes place from 6.30pm to 8pm.
