Council is handling unexpected growth in Gosport

GRASS verges in Gosport are being left to grow to ensure they will continue to do so.

The council is leaving alone any areas where there are bulbs planted.

They are waiting for nutrients to return to the ground before they cut the area.

This return is happening later than normal this year.

But certain areas, including near Morrisons, in Walpole Road, and Walpole Park, have now been cut.

A ‘double flush’ in the weather has also meant grass has been growing much longer, something the council is now catching up on.
