PEOPLE in Fareham are being reminded to take part in a consultation about council tax support.

The consultation by Fareham Borough Council runs until Friday, October 4, and gives residents the chance to have their say on how best to provide council tax support.

Last year, the council developed a council tax support scheme, which was put in place from April. The council is now looking at how best to support people from April 1, 2014.

Council leader Sean Woodward, said: ‘The government are giving us even less money this year to provide Council Tax support, which means the Council has some difficult decisions to make.

‘I would encourage as many people as possible to have their say on the proposed scheme so the Council can make these decisions.’
