Councillor makes plea for residents to attend CAT meeting over Cranleigh Road homes

A COUNCILLOR has urged residents to attend a meeting ahead of a planning inquiry on a bid to build homes on a controversial site.

Fareham Borough Council’s community action team is holding a meeting on Monday at Wicor Primary School to discuss plans for 120 homes at Cranleigh Road in Portchester.

The council has previously refused Persimmon Homes the planning permission for the homes with the inquiry to take place early next year. The housebuilder has appealed.

Councillor Sue Bell, chairman of the CAT meeting, said: ‘If you would like to find out more about how planning appeals are considered and how you can make sure you are fully involved, please come along to the meeting.’

The meeting will last from 7pm until 8.30pm.
