SOUTHSEA councillor Lee Hunt is urging the owners of South Parade Pier to get things fixed.

Cllr Hunt, who attended a meeting about the pier’s future, said: ‘The council would urge Mr Nash to put the structure back into good order and get it open as soon as possible.

‘We know there are issues with the structure and he has got to put that right.

‘It is a private company and a private building.

‘We have got to make sure it’s looked after properly and there is no health and safety risk.’
