Councillors calls for Brexit ahead of the big vote

A UKIP councillor has thrown her weight behind the UK leaving the European Union ahead of the landmark vote this Thursday.

Newly-elected Ukip Fareham borough councillor Carolyn Heneghan said: I feel we are grown up enough in this country to look after our own businesses and do not need to rely on Europe to nanny us. I do not want to be nannied and I do not want someone in Brussels making decisions for me.’

n Cllr Heneghan was previously quoted in Thursday’s edition stating that the UK was not ‘grown up enough’ This was a misrepresentation of her views.
