PORTSMOUTH City Council’s cabinet will discuss plans for a new parking strategy that aims to tackle ongoing traffic problems in the city.
Councillors will consider whether to adopt the head of transport and environment’s report which suggests ways of tackling traffic issues. It considers giving short-stay visitors priority when parking in the city centre.
Free on and off-street public parking spaces in that area could be removed. All of the proposals will be considered at a meeting on Monday at Portsmouth Guildhall.
