Have your say

TIME is running out for people to have their say on proposals for new council ward boundaries across part of Hampshire.

A public consultation, being run by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, closes on April 6.

The commission’s draft recommendations propose that Winchester City Council – which covers Bishop’s Waltham, Wickham and Denmead – should have 45 councillors in the future; 12 fewer than at present.

The proposals mean those councillors would represent 15 three-member wards across the city.

Max Caller, chairman of the commission, said: ‘We are keen to hear views about our proposals before we finalise them in June. This is your last chance to have your say.’
