A CAMPAIGNING charity met to discuss threats to the countryside, ‘damaging’ planning applications and its plan for the next five years.
The executive team from the Campaign to Protect Rural England also reviewed the past year.
Dee Haas, chairman of CPRE Hampshire, said: ‘The planning environment has changed dramatically over the last three years and we recognise that our focus needs to change.
‘With current threats coming from dysfunctional national planning policy framework and central government housing targets, we need to be proactive as well as reacting to damaging applications as they come in. The countryside needs us more than ever.’
