AN MP will lead a debate over adult literacy and numeracy.

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage is due to lead the debate on the motion about tackling the problem.

It is to take place in parliament on Thursday at 10am.

Ms Dinenage and fellow MPs Gordon Birtwistle and Robin Walker were awarded the backbench debate by the Commons Select Committee.
