CAMPAIGN posters for the general election have been stolen, according to the chairman of a Conservative association.

Peter Lockyer, chair of Gosport Conservative Association, said two of Caroline Dinenage’s posters at Browndown have been removed.

He said: ‘I expect they’re going in at night in combat gear.’

The sitting MP’s posters sparked complaints from people who thought the land is owned by the Ministry of Defence.

But Mr Lockyer said it is private land and the party had permission. He replaced one poster on the wall yesterday.
