WORK that an inspector assessing the plan for a new 6,000-home town asked a council to undertake has been completed.

Inspector David Hogger is currently assessing the Welborne plan for its soundness and asked Fareham Borough Council to provide a number of extra documents following an eight day-long inquiry held last month.

At a separate inquiry into plans for other development in the borough held on Wednesday, Mr Hogger said he would be proceeding.

He said: ‘The council has delivered on all the issues. I will now be going through it more thoroughly.’
