FIGURES showing that the number of people in Fareham claiming benefits has fallen by 652 have been welcomed by the town’s MP.

The figures from the Office for National Statistics Labour Market report showed wages rising at the fastest rate in real terms since 2007, going up for the eighth month in a row.

Fareham MP Suella Fernandes said the figures meant more security for families in her constituency.
