Have your say

YOUNG people have been given their chance to have a say on plans for 7,000 new homes north of Fareham.

Fareham Youth Council and Fareham Borough Council invited young people from across the borough to a youth conference to talk about the new town.

The conference, held at the Fareham civic offices, gave young people the chance to express what they want from the town as well as take part in group activities looking at sustainable transport and open spaces.

Richard Jolley, director of planning and environment, said: ‘This was a great opportunity to directly influence the new community.

‘It is important we get views and ideas from young people as they may be the ones living in the new community in the future. It also gives them a chance to have their voice heard.’
