BUSINESSES in Fareham will meet tomorrow to discuss how to spend £100,000 in the town centre.

Councillor Seán Woodward, leader of Fareham Borough Council, will be holding a business breakfast for local traders to launch the Fareham Town Centre Action Plan.

The council has recently been awarded £100,000 under the High Street Innovation Fund.

At the business breakfast, the council will seek views from local traders on how to spend the money to keep the town centre vibrant.

The council recently commissioned a review on how it could respond to future challenges across the borough.

As part of the review the council listened to what a cross-section of town centre businesses was saying and also took into account the views of local residents from recent surveys.

The Action Plan addresses a number of issues including parking, facilities, information and publicity and empty shops.
