Over the last five years as an MP, Ms Dinenage visited every school in Gosport and she wants to build on that by seeing more facilities and events available for children and young people.
She said: ‘I am really keen to spend my time as MP inspiring the next generation.
‘In the past few years since becoming the MP for Gosport, I made the effort to visit all the schools and meet the pupils.
‘I love meeting the youngsters and I want to continue that. Having met so many young people I am keen to see more facilities available for them.’
Ms Dinenage added: ‘Gosport does have some great facilities.
‘But I am really keen to see more events or activities for youngsters.
‘I want them to have options and the chance to do as many things as possible throughout the town.’
Ms Dinenage also said that she wants to build on the number of community events held so far this year.
Along with the successful Gosport Marine Festival held last month, Gosport will also see the P1 Powerboat race return this month along with a fun day and barbecue for families in Rowner.
Ms Dinenage said ‘I would like to see more community events likes the marine festival.
‘It was just wonderful to see all the children having a go at water sports while other inshore activities were going on.
‘We could do so much more with the space we have in Gosport and would like to see more events like the marine festival.
‘Gosport Marine Scene worked so hard and what they organised was amazing.
‘The community really enjoyed it and went with it.’
