PARTS of Gosport’s Discovery Centre will be closed while the building is refurbished next month.

From October 10 until October 29, the first floor, mezzanine floor and second floor will be closed to visitors while essential refurbishment is carried out.

The ground floor will remain open and the Local Studies Centre will stay open until 7pm during weekdays.

Events which were due to be held at the Discovery Centre are still going ahead but may take part in a different part of the centre.

Loan periods are being extended and items on the floors which cannot be reached can be reserved and collected from the ground floor at no charge.

Only eight of the Discovery Centre’s public computers will be available while the essential refurbishment takes place but wireless internet will still be available for use on the ground floor.
