Members made the point during the latest meeting of the Conservative's policy forum in the town, attended by Gosport MP and health minister Caroline Dinenage.

Talking of the meeting, forum chairman David Gary, said: '˜It's about getting new ideas, working them through and reporting to the appropriate minister. Other topics discussed included charges for missed GP appointments and the strain on GP services locally.
