A REPRESENTATIVE for the woman who says she was sexually assaulted by Mike Hancock has criticised how long she has waited for action to be taken.

As reported, Cllr Hancock has tonight been suspended from the Liberal Democrats after the party saw a copy of a report by QC Nigel Pascoe into his conduct.

A spokesman for the alleged victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said: ‘It’s disgusting that it has taken three-and-a-half years for anyone to take her seriously and in all this time, the other councillors and Liberal Democrats have fought to defend the indefensible.

‘She also wrote to Nick Clegg and she never got a reply.’
