‘Disgusting’ fly-tipping is putting lives at risk, says Southsea trader

THE Gibraltar flag was flown at council offices to mark the country’s national day.

Councillors at Havant Borough Council agreed to fly the flag outside the Plaza offices yesterday after Waterlooville resident Rodney Pereira requested it.

Mr Pereira spotted an article in The News that Portsmouth City Council was planning to fly it and asked if Havant could too.

Councillor Paul Buckley, Mayor of Havant, said he was delighted to do so, adding: ‘I’ve visited The Rock many times during my service career and have fond memories of the British overseas territory and its historical strong links with the Royal Navy.’
