Hampshire council tax is set to rise – but bosses say it is ‘no mean feat’

PERMISSION has been granted for 13 houses behind St James’s Hospital.

Portsmouth City Council’s planning committee voted unanimously to allow the development in Locksway Road, in Milton.

It received 17 objection letters and heard deputations opposing the plans from the Milton Neighbourhood Forum and St James’s Memorial Park Trust.

But councillors decided their concerns about overdevelopment and pollution were not enough to stop the application, which was submitted on behalf on NHS Portsmouth.
