IT IS not every day that an MP would allow a child on a motorbike to jump over them.
But Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage did just that when she went to meet the Tigers Children’s Motorcycle Display team.
Based at Daedalus, in Lee-on-the-Solent, the group meets to practice skills and stunts on their motorbikes.
Aged from four to 12, the kids take part in shows around the UK.
After meeting the gang during one of their weekly training sessions, Caroline agreed to take part in a stunt – lying beneath a ramp as the children jumped over her.
Ms Dinenage said: ‘When the Tigers invited me to one of their training session I didn’t know that they would be jumping over me!
‘Despite the risk of a Gosport by-election had they missed their target, I had an enormous amount of fun.
‘The Tigers group is run by parents who give up so much of their time to travel across the country, supporting something that their kids love and making thousands of pounds for local charities.
‘It’s another great example of the exciting activities taking place across Gosport.’
