LEGIONELLA bacteria detected at the Pyramids Centre has led to it being closed for two days.

The bug was found during a routine maintenance inspection, according to BH Live, which runs the centre on behalf of Portsmouth City Council.

The centre was closed on Thursday and Friday, and the bacteria has now been eradicated from the site.

The gym, pool and soft play area will reopen tomorrow. However, the spa and showers will remain closed as a precautionary measure until follow up test results come back clear.
