Make a difference and be a Portsmouth foster carer

PORTSMOUTH residents are being encouraged to consider becoming foster carers for the council.

The fostering service are on the search for need people to provide a caring home, guidance and direction to children of all ages.

There are a number of fostering opportunities available, from a stay at home full-time foster carer for a young child, to fostering a young person whilst continuing to work full or part-time.

Or you can provide a room and around 10 hours a week support to vulnerable 16-24 year olds through a ‘Lodgings Plus’ scheme.

You can foster regardless of your ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, whether single or part of a couple, or whether you own or rent your own home.
