COUNCILLORS will meet to discuss whether Portsmouth City Council should change the way decisions are made.

A proposal has been put forward to introduce a cross-party ‘shadow committee’ to oversee the work of the ruling cabinet before taking over permanently.

The change would take effect from next year.

A meeting about the plans, which have been put forward by the Lib Dems, will be held on Friday at 2.30pm in the civic offices.
