Have your say

TAKE advantage of free help that could save you money on your energy bills.

That is the message from Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage who is reminding people to sign up for the Warm Home Discount Scheme launched by British Gas.

The scheme can help those in need by putting £140 towards their energy bill.

It was launched earlier this month and is a five-year project introduced by the government and delivered to larger energy suppliers.

Ms Dinenage is supporting the scheme, which helps those in need by paying credit into the energy account of the account holder.

She said: ‘No-one should be left in the cold in Britain and this scheme is just one of a wide range of programmes and services this government is introducing to help people heat their homes.

‘Anyone who’s worried about rising costs should contact their energy provider or a relevant charity to discuss the help available.’
