THE MP for Gosport has spoken up for young girls in her constituency at a debate in parliament.
Caroline Dinenage participated in a Westminster Hall debate that called for the development of confidence for girls in schools. It highlighted that low self-esteem is a key factor holding many young women back from life-long success.
Ms Dinenage said: ‘Confidence among our young women may seem like a marginal issue. But confidence is absolutely pivotal to a child’s success.’
Ms Dinenage called for better careers advice, the use of female role models and an expansion of work experience opportunities.
