MP takes time to read to primary school pupils

PUPILS at a primary school were given a storytime reading from Meon Valley MP George Hollingbery.

He visited Cheriton Primary School on World Book Day to read a story about a penguin called Lost & Found by Oliver Jeffers to the children, who all dressed up as their favourite book characters.

Mr Hollingbery said: ‘It was a tremendous pleasure to visit the school and an honour to read to the children on World Book Day. Fostering a love of reading through World Book Day is a great way to ensure future generations continue to enjoy what is a great pleasure.’
