MEON Valley MP George Hollingbery recently visited a Bishop’s Waltham business that has become a major player in dementia care training.

Jackie Pool Associates was formed in the town in 1995 and has grown into a national organisation that develops and provides specialist dementia care leadership programmes and training materials.

Chief executive, Ms Pool discussed dementia and the vital role good care plays for those living with the condition with Mr Hollingbery when he visited the offices in Victoria Road.

Mr Hollingbery said: ‘This sort of top quality and compassionate service industry, in what sadly will be an expanding market, is a local success story Britain needs if it’s to remain at the economic top table.

‘Jackie is clearly an expert in this field and I hope she is now able to grow her business in the years to come.’
