The new councillor in charge of the environment in Portsmouth says one of her main tasks will be to try to improve the city’s air quality.

Cllr Sandra Stockdale, who represents St Thomas, takes over the Portsmouth City Council environment and community safety role which was vacated by Cllr Eleanor Scott in protest at the ruling Lib Dem group’s stance in the Mike Hancock affair.
