AN Olympic workshop will take place in a bid to increase the number of volunteers for the games next summer.

Organised by local councils, the free workshop is an introduction to how people and clubs can use the power of the London 2012 games to be inspired, to be included and how to get involved.

Councillor Sean Woodward, leader of Fareham Borough Council, said: ‘This special Olympic volunteer workshop is a great opportunity for volunteers to identify new local volunteering opportunities during 2012.’

Special guest speakers including Barry Kitcher, Hampshire County Council’s 2012 co-ordinator and Peter Hull, MBE Gold Medallist Paralympian swimmer.

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, January 18, at 6.30pm at Cams Hill school in Fareham.
