PLANS for a pie production unit have been approved by councillors, despite objections from neighbours.

Winchester City Council gave permission for Manuel Martins to turn a shop in Trinder House, in Free Street, Bishop’s Waltham, into the pie factory.

Nine residents were concerned about smells, waste, noise and traffic and had written to the council to object.
