PLAY parks in Fareham have benefited from makeovers totalling nearly £200,000.

The King George V play area in Fareham is the first to be completed following its £70,000 overhaul from Fareham Borough Council.

A roundabout that enables wheelchair access and Fareham’s first snake swing are two of the highlights at the newly-refurbished play area in Warsash Road, Locks Heath.

The council’s play park improvement programme has also seen £75,000 put into Park Lane play area and £45,000 on Birchen Road play area.
