Poetry to fill a navy ship

A BATTLESHIP will be filled with poetry this week to help inspire children.

To mark the centenary anniversary of the end of World War One next year, the hangar of HMS Iron Duke, in Portsmouth Naval Base, will be flooded with numerous pieces of art work.

Charity Never Such Innocence is holding a competition for children across the country to submit poems, artwork or music inspired by the events World War One.

School children will be welcomed aboard by Commander Steven Banfield MBE.
