Portsmouth City Council aims to help businesses in creative sector
PLANS are being drawn up to maximise the potential of developing businesses in the creative industries.
Research into the sector, commissioned by Portsmouth City Council and the University of Portsmouth with the support of Strong Island, shows individuals in the city are talented.
It is now hoped the council can help the businesses grow and have access to resources.
Cllr Donna Jones, leader of the council, said: ‘It’s no secret that Portsmouth is full of talented individuals but what this report shows is that these people are starting businesses in the city and it’s hugely important that we support that.
‘We need to help these businesses access the resources they need to grow.’
