COUNCIL meetings at Portsmouth City Council will be filmed in their entirety for the first time from tomorrow.

The authority is setting up a fixed camera in the council chamber at Portsmouth Guildhall to capture proceedings.

Tory council leader Donna Jones says she wants meetings to be more open and give people who can’t attend the chance to see what happens.

A link to the video is to be published on the council’s website. Tomorrow’s full council debate starts at 2pm.
