Portsmouth council signs up to telecare association

The council is now a member of the Telecare Services Association which means their telecare installers will be able to assess individuals needs and advise on what package of products and services would suit them.

Councillor Luke Stubbs, cabinet member for health and social care said: ‘Telecare gives people of all ages who live with a wide range of conditions and other needs, greater choice and confidence.

‘It makes a huge difference to how they manage their health and wellbeing and live independently.

‘The council and Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group are exploring new opportunities where technology-enabled care can improve the lives of Portsmouth people.

‘Being a member of the TSA enables the council to draw on the expertise and advice of the association and use it to improve the telecare service we offer to residents.’
