Cllr Stubbs said: ‘By vacating the Brunel Wing we have created new office space in the centre of Portsmouth which a lot of businesses would benefit from.

‘It’s a great location and now it has its own address registered it can fully operate as standalone business space. Renting out the offices will also help generate income for the council, helping to protect important services.’

The Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire coroner has already moved into the building.
