A NEW address has been created in the heart of Portsmouth’s city centre – 1 Guildhall Square.

The location is the civic offices’ Brunel Wing, the part of the building spanning the link between the square and Isambard Brunel Road, next to the big screen.

Councillor Luke Stubbs, Portsmouth City Council’s cabinet member for planning, regeneration and economic development, said the next step would be to rent the offices out to businesses and organisations.

Cllr Stubbs said: ‘By vacating the Brunel Wing we have created new office space in the centre of Portsmouth which a lot of businesses would benefit from.

‘It’s a great location and now it has its own address registered it can fully operate as standalone business space. Renting out the offices will also help generate income for the council, helping to protect important services.’

The Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire coroner has already moved into the building.
